About
Meet Your Dementia Navigator
Dementia became personal to me long before Saharo existed.
For more than five years, I have helped care for my father as he has lived with dementia. Like many families, ours had to learn how to navigate changes in memory, behavior, safety, routines and everyday life while also trying to make the right decisions for someone we love.
There was plenty of information available about dementia. What was much harder to find was someone who could help us answer the practical questions:
- What should we deal with first?
- What should we tell the doctor?
- How should we respond when behavior changes?
- How can we improve safety at home?
- How do we preserve independence where possible?
- How should caregiving responsibilities be divided across the family?
That experience pushed me to deepen my dementia-care education and become a Certified Dementia Practitioner® through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
I created Saharo Dementia Navigator because families often receive medical information but still need help figuring out what to actually do at home.
My role is not to replace doctors or licensed clinicians. My role is to help families make sense of what is happening, identify what deserves attention first, prepare for important conversations, and turn uncertainty into practical next steps.
That is the kind of support I wish every family had when dementia first entered our lives.

Why I created Saharo
Families are often given a diagnosis but very little practical guidance about what happens next. Saharo was created to help close that gap with calm, personalized support focused on daily life, safety, family decisions, and care planning.
- Organize your concerns into a short, workable list
- Identify what genuinely needs attention now
- Improve communication within the family
- Prepare for transitions such as hospital discharge
- Move forward with a practical, written plan
Independent guidance
Saharo does not accept referral fees or commissions from home-care agencies, senior living communities, placement services, attorneys or other care providers. When resources or care options are suggested, the goal is to help your family make an informed decision, not to steer you toward a company paying Saharo.
Not an emergency service. Saharo does not provide emergency or medical services. If someone is in immediate danger, missing, experiencing sudden severe confusion, or having a possible medical emergency, call 911 or seek urgent medical care.
