What is a Certified Dementia Practitioner®?

A Certified Dementia Practitioner® has completed specialized dementia-care education through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. The training covers areas such as dementia communication, person-centered care, behavioral changes, safety and everyday caregiving. The CDP credential is not a medical license and does not authorize diagnosis, medical treatment, psychotherapy or licensed clinical care.

How much does a session cost?

A 60-minute Dementia Navigation Session is $99, one time. A 90-minute Family Dementia Action Plan is $199 and includes a written non-medical action plan. Every family can also start with a free 15-minute Clarity Call. Pricing is shown before checkout with no hidden fees.

Is there ongoing support after a session?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Families who want continuing help can discuss the Saharo Navigator plan, an ongoing care-management relationship that starts at $299 per month. It is arranged by enquiry so the level of support fits your family, and it is not unlimited.

What counts as a short follow-up question?

Accepted Answer

A short follow-up question is a focused question that can reasonably be answered without requiring a new assessment or full consultation. If a question requires a detailed discussion, Saharo may recommend discussing it during a scheduled session. Email support is not monitored continuously, is not an emergency service, is intended for brief follow-up questions related to dementia caregiving and navigation, does not include medical diagnosis, treatment decisions, legal advice or crisis intervention, may be redirected to a scheduled session if the issue requires a longer discussion.

Where are sessions available?

Virtual dementia guidance sessions are available to families throughout the United States. Bay Area families may also request an in-person consultation or family meeting for an additional fee, subject to location and availability.

Can you help after a hospital discharge?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Discharge and care transitions are among the most common reasons families book. Sessions focus on the practical questions that follow: supervision, routines, home safety, follow-up appointments, and how responsibilities will be shared.

Can several family members join a session?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Family members are welcome to join, and sessions are often most useful when more than one person is helping coordinate care.

Question 8

Can I book for my parent or spouse?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most sessions are booked by an adult child, spouse, or another family member. The person living with dementia does not need to attend, though they are welcome when it is appropriate and they consent.

Will I receive a written plan?

Accepted Answer

Every session ends with a clear set of next steps discussed live. The Family Dementia Action Plan includes a written non-medical action plan you can share with the rest of your family.

Is Saharo a medical service?

Accepted Answer

No. Saharo provides non-medical dementia-care guidance, education, and family planning support. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy, emergency assistance, legal advice, or licensed clinical case management. Only a qualified medical professional can evaluate cognitive symptoms and make a diagnosis.

Can you provide emergency help?

Accepted Answer

No. Saharo does not provide emergency or medical services. If someone is in immediate danger, missing, experiencing sudden severe confusion, or having a possible medical emergency, call 911 or seek urgent medical care.

Do you speak with doctors or facilities on my behalf?

Accepted Answer

No. Saharo does not contact, negotiate with, or represent you to providers, facilities, or insurers. Sessions help you prepare for those conversations so you can lead them with confidence.

Does Saharo earn referral fees?

Accepted Answer

No. Saharo does not accept referral fees or commissions from home-care agencies, senior living communities, placement services, attorneys or other care providers. When options are suggested, the goal is to help your family make an informed decision.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 24 hours before the start time using the link in your confirmation email. Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund, typically returned within 5–10 business days. Changes inside 24 hours are handled case by case.

Do I need an account to book?

Accepted Answer

No account is required. Choose a session or plan, pick an available time, share a short note about your concern, and pay securely. Confirmation, the calendar invitation, and the meeting link arrive by email. Questions before booking can go to vikram@saharodementianavigator.com.
